The Princess Margaret unveils ‘The Colour Club,’ a pop-up for a cause, in downtown Toronto

16/04/2019

Get your phones ready! A new insta-worthy pop-up is coming to downtown Toronto and it’s all for a good cause!

The Colour Club is a technicolour space presented by Colour To Conquer, a bold fundraising program that encourages Canadians to colour their hair during the month of May to raise funds for world-leading cancer research at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

With the spirit of a vintage beauty parlour, the room is filled with whimsical vignettes in brightly coloured hues meant to invoke good feelings and healing energy.

“This is especially important for people who are navigating through the cancer journey. These thoughts are the inspiration behind our Colour Club. I want everyone to come in and appreciate the beauty and feel renewed, inspired or transformed in some way,” says Toronto artist Tiffany Pratt, who designed the room.

“This event is unlike anything The Princess Margaret has offered in the past,” says Michael Burns, President & CEO of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. “It’s a fun and unique way for Canadians to support an important cause.”

The Colour Club is located at 128 Peter Street in Toronto and will be open to the public April 17 - 27 from 12 to 7 p.m. except for Good Friday on April 19 where it will close at 4 p.m.

Access is first-come, first-served, with a suggested donation upon entry. To pre-register and skip the line visit eventbrite.
